The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Academic/Student Support Associate 3--Receptionist at the Clarksville Campus.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent required; related technical diploma preferred. A comparable combination of education and directly related experience may be considered. Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in an office setting preferred. Courteous and pleasant demeanor with co-workers, students and the general public. Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate in various forms with employees, students and the public at all levels.

SKILLS Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Mature attitude and dependability required. Experience using business software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced office environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.

GENERAL DUTIES: The Academic/Student Support Associate 3 -- Receptionist position is responsible for work performed in a variety of office tasks supporting Student Services. Duties will include, but are not limited to: performing general office duties including sending/receiving mail; serving as primary receptionist; purchasing/receiving graduation supplies for students and faculty at the Dickson and Clarksville campuses; performing tasks related to new student orientation, graduation and special industry classes; providing admissions/enrollment information to students and prospective students; scheduling and conducting tours for prospective students; entering data in online student information management system; ordering, receiving and distributing office supplies for the department; assisting students with self-registration and surveys; maintaining the Clarksville Campus scrapbook; assisting with special events, and other duties as assigned. Scheduled work hours are 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, Monday-Friday. This position reports to the Assistant Student Services Coordinator. This is not a remote work position.

WORKING CONDITIONS Strength requirements (physical demands) - Mental and Visual Demand: a. Sedentary work -- involves sitting some of the time; involves mobile accessibility to entire school and off-campus locations. b. Requires mental and visual attention to detail. c. Strength requirements - lift up to 25 pounds on occasion; lift, carry, push or pull objects occasionally.

SALARY: $29,020-$36,275 per year ($14.88-$18.60 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines, education and related experience.
