* Please note that this is a limited, part-time position, with the expectation of working 20 - 30 hours per week, depending on selected candidate's school schedule and summer/winter breaks. You will also have the option to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summe r. This position is currently anticipated to last 6 months with possible extensions .

Minnesota IT Services is seeking a skilled Endpoint Deployment Technician to assist with the lifecycle tasks related to desktops, laptops and mobile devices, currently an installed base of approximately 50,000 devices. These tasks include, but are not limited to: preparation, imaging, operating system and application installation, transfer of user settings and data, placement on the customer's desk, onboarding of the customer to the new computer, retrieval of the customer's previous computer, sanitization and removal of computer hardware. This position will perform assigned work in a variety of workplace environments. This includes but is not limited to large multi-tenant office buildings, regional field offices, correctional facilities, elected official offices, laboratories, warehouses, and public use spaces.
This position requires an employee to be onsite at 1450 Energy Park Drive, St. Paul, Minnesota full-time. Telework is not an option.

Education:
Student Worker Eligibility -
To be eligible for an appointment as a Student Worker Para Professional, you must be enrolled in a post-secondary or graduate educational program or plan to enroll within three months. Students may be "off" for the summer or for one semester/quarter and remain employed as a student worker, but such absences cannot exceed one semester/quarter in a year. If you are enrolled at a credit-granting institution you must carry at least six semester/nine quarter credits. If enrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, you must be taking two or more classes per semester/quarter. Any lesser credit (class) load will be treated as a semester/quarter off. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least two courses or making progress on a dissertation. You will be asked to complete an Educational Verification form prior to appointment.
Experience must include:
Academic programs can include Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related program.
Through formal education or work experience, the incumbent is expected to have knowledge or experience of Windows Environment.
Experience in customer service.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively to foster mutual understanding and guide teams through change.
Customer-focused approach grounded in active-listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving, with demonstrated leadership and people engagement skills that support positive user experiences and high-performing teams.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to translate technical information for non-technical staff.

Physical Requirements
Requires moving/lifting devices such as desktops, monitors, laptops, and miscellaneous equipment from multiple locations (Desk to desk or from one agency site to another), lifting devices up on to storage shelves (Above head (40 lbs.) and being able to gain access under desks (crawl).
