Job Description

Our client is seeking multiple Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Flight Software Engineers to support advanced aerospace research and development efforts focused on next-generation flight systems. This team is responsible for developing highly customized flight dynamics algorithms and implementing flight software solutions for complex aerospace applications. This is a highly innovative environment where engineers are expected to build and refine original algorithms rather than rely on standard or textbook solutions. The work involves developing high-fidelity models in MATLAB/Simulink and generating flight software directly from those models. Engineers will play a key role in shaping the architecture, modeling, simulation, and implementation of cutting-edge flight control technologies from concept through development.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field

Experience generating GNC Algorithms from scratch

Strong proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink

Experience with flight dynamics and aerospace vehicle modeling Experience generating embedded or flight software from Simulink models

Python scripting or software development experience

Experience with 6 Degree-of-Freedom (6DOF) modeling and simulation

Aerospace, flight vehicle, spacecraft, missile, or defense system experience

Active DoD security clearance
