Job Description

A leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer is seeking a Customer Support Engineer III to provide advanced technical support for diffusion and CVD processing equipment at a major semiconductor fabrication facility. This individual will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, process improvement, and customer support.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced semiconductor equipment engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers, and mentoring junior team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment

Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues

Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions to improve equipment performance and reliability

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer escalations and operational support

Communicate equipment status, risks, and recovery plans to internal and external stakeholders

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and global support teams to resolve technical issues

Support equipment installations, upgrades, qualifications, and decommissioning activities

Create and maintain service documentation, maintenance records, and technical reports

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment uptime, reliability, and service processes

Skills and Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field

5+ years of semiconductor equipment maintenance, service, or field support experience

Experience supporting diffusion, CVD, deposition, thermal processing, or similar semiconductor equipment

Strong troubleshooting skills with a structured and methodical approach to problem solving

Working knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation
