Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Lead / Electrical Engineer to establish and scale a new electronics manufacturing operation from the ground up. This individual will own the transition from product design into production, overseeing vendor management, manufacturing strategy, quality control, and production assembly processes. The ideal candidate combines strong electrical engineering expertise with hands-on experience launching and managing electronics manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Build and lead a new electronics production line from concept through full operational readiness.
Identify, evaluate, and manage external manufacturing and PCB fabrication vendors.
Establish manufacturing processes, quality standards, and production workflows.
Oversee production assembly, testing, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Design and layout complex multilayer PCBs for microcontroller-based systems.
Develop high-speed (up to 500 MHz) and high-voltage (up to 5,000V) electronic circuits.
Integrate STM32 microcontrollers into custom hardware solutions.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive product realization and manufacturing scalability.
Manage the transition from proto@type development to full-scale production.
Provide regular project updates and communicate risks, challenges, and milestones to stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
3+ years of experience in electrical engineering and product development.
Proven experience taking electronic products from design through manufacturing and production.
Strong background in PCB design, layout, and microcontroller integration.
Experience with high-speed and high-voltage circuit design.
Knowledge of manufacturing operations, vendor management, quality control, and production processes.
Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion or similar PCB/EDA design software.
Ability to work onsite in either Massachusetts or Portugal. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microchip PIC32 microcontrollers.
Knowledge of LoRa wireless communication technologies.
Embedded C programming experience.
3D modeling and enclosure design experience.
Previous experience building or scaling electronics manufacturing operations.
