Responsibilities The Information Technology Specialist position manages all data that flows through the systems portfolio - most prominently (but not solely) ArchivesSpace. In this position, you will: Collect and design new system requirements and design and manage databases with a focus on Archives and Libraries collection management systems Perform process analysis, define requirements, promote quality assurance and assist with the development and documentation of fully automated archival workflows and systems. Perform analysis on data mapping from multiple data sources, program and implement data transformation for multiple data @types including XML and JSON-LD, review data quality, and make recommendations for improvement. Qualifications GS-12 Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as: Performing ArchivesSpace, Encoded Archival Description (EAD), Encoded Archival Content (EAC), and/or Records in Contexts (RiC) implementation within a consortium-like environment. Conducting data analysis and implementing bulk data transformations by utilizing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) provided by information management systems and/or digital asset systems. Leading efforts to promote shared practices and metadata standards. In addition to meeting the Specialized Experience for all positions, individuals must have IT related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
