Communicate with other instructors, and office staff as needed to enroll students and to address students\' concerns.r2. Work one-on-one with students and in small groups.r3. Give orientations to include rules and expectations in the classrooms.r4. Administer and score the Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE) to determine students\' academic grade levels and particular needs.r5. For GED students, administer the GED practice test to determine test readiness for the official GED.r6. Make student assignments using the appropriate curriculum materials.r7. Provide accommodations for students with special needs as necessary.r8. Shall maintain classroom discipline and establish an effective learning environment.rrCompletion of Individualized Educational Plan:r1. Collaborate with students to determine needs.r2. Identify long and short-term goalsr3. Plan objectives to meet goalsr4. Provide information on educational resources that will be needed to attain objectivesr5. Provide feedback to students on progressr6. Document student progressrrInstructional Management:rEvaluation:r1. Pre-test using TABE or other testing Instrument when student enrolls.r2. Monitor students\' progress utilizing computer printouts, grading students\' papers, and observing skills.r3. Retest students regularly after no more than 40 hours of instruction.r4. Administer GED practice tests for GED students.rrInstruction:r1. Teach basic skills/concepts in reading, math, and languager2. Instruct in career and life planningr3. Develop an AdultLearning Plan (ALP) for each student using TABE results and objectives from IDP.r4. Enroll students into appropriate curriculum materials for reading, math, language, and writing.r5. Be familiar with and provide computer-aided instruction utilizing Essential Ed, Aztec, Pre-GED, or other software programs.r6. Provide individualized instruction using text or workbook activities.r7. Utilize teaching methods including one-on-one instruction, small group activities, peer tutoring, and demonstration.r8. Establish connections between lessons studied and goals attained.r9. Convey expectations for classroom activities.r10. Other guidance for furthering post-secondary educational goals.rrRecord Keeping and Reports:r1. Retest students as required for NRS benchmarks.r2. Maintain student files as requiredr3. Keep accurate records of students\' attendance for LACES reports.r4. Conduct follow-up on students, and report achievements for inclusion in student records database.r5. Provide input for conferences or staffing for student placement and program planning.r6. Record student progressrrClerical Responsibilities:r1. Prepare and organize files for instructional materialr2. Maintain individual student filesr3.
