Overview

Excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in product development, medical devices, and commercial product support while working closely with senior engineering leadership.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Principal Design Engineer to assemble and maintain commercial demonstration kits.

Support the design, fabrication, testing, and refinement of mechanical components and assemblies.

Ensure demo kits are fully functional, properly organized, and available for rapid deployment to commercial teams.

Coordinate packing, inventory management, and shipment preparation of demonstration equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement design improvements to enhance demo reliability and usability.

Create and maintain engineering documentation, assembly instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs).

Assist with prototyping, validation testing, and product development activities as needed.

Manage inventory of demo components, replacement parts, and supplies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace for demo kit assembly and storage.

Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, and Commercial teams to support product demonstrations and customer engagements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

2-3 years of mechanical engineering, product design, or design engineering experience.

Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience building and testing assemblies.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Preferred

Experience in the medical device industry.

Experience supporting proto@types, demonstration systems, or low-volume assemblies.

Familiarity with design controls, documentation, and regulated product development environments.

Experience with inventory management and logistics coordination.
