Assistant BookkeeperAlbany, NYFusco Personnel has been retained to recruit for an Assistant Bookkeeper, for our client located in the Albany, NY area. This is a full-time, contract to permanent opportunity with a well-respected growing organization.The ideal candidate will be supporting day-to-day financial operations with accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.Key Responsibilities Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately Maintain vendor accounts and records while supporting payment processing and tracking Monitor receivables and assist with follow-up on outstanding payments Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and financial records regularly Support payroll administration by reviewing timesheets and maintaining required payroll documentation Identify discrepancies and flag issues for resolution Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Monitor expenses to ensure alignment with approved budgets Maintain organized, up-to-date, and audit-ready financial documentation Support audits, financial monitoring, and year-end close General administrative and clerical support as needed Qualifications Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 12 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administrative Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or comparable platforms Microsoft Office applications experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and professional integrity Experience working within a nonprofit (preferred) * Knowledge of fund accounting and financial processes related to grant funding (preferred) Salary$23.00-24.00/hourFusco Personnel takes great pride in successfully matching talent and culture for our valued clients.
