Job Title: Systems Test Technician

Location: Carson, CA

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $90,000.00 - $114,000.00

Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

Generate reports on all routine tests and testing activities.

Troubleshoot issues found during testing to identify root cause and make necessary repairs.

Execute tests according to testing procedures and established processes.

Demonstrate good working knowledge of computers, data recorders, digital multimeters, various measurement instruments, pneumatic/hydraulic gauges, and various hand tools.

Demonstrate ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wire lists.

Clearly document and report any anomaly or failure found during test execution.

Demonstrate growth in understanding and optimization of test execution and troubleshooting.

Demonstrate strong knowledge and comprehension of schematics, block diagrams, wire lists, and functional diagrams, along with knowledge of basic electronics and operation of 12VDC-72VDC, 220VAC-480VAC, and 750DC systems.

Support mechanical installations and repairs on rail vehicles as needed.

Support the installation of electrical panels, equipment, and components, with good understanding of operation to troubleshoot electrical issues.

Maintain technician safety awareness and follow all applicable safety procedures.

Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Electrical Engineering Degree desirable.

Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical testing or related field.

Must be able to work different shifts and overtime as needed.

Must be able to work in heavy industrial environments, including outside in rail yards.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, standing or crouching for long periods.
