Job Title: 2nd Shift Yard Loader - $21/hr
Job Description
The 2nd Shift Yard Loader safely transports finished materials from production lines to designated inventory locations in the yard while operating a forklift outdoors for the majority of the shift. This role also supports production operations by cross-training on key tasks and filling in for associates when needed to maintain efficient workflow and on-time material handling.

Responsibilities
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move finished materials from production lines to inventory locations in the yard.
Load and unload materials in the yard and production areas while following established safety procedures.
Work outdoors for approximately 90% of the shift in all weather conditions to handle and stage materials.
Cross-train on production tasks to provide coverage for associates who are absent or when additional support is needed.
Assist with general production activities as required, including basic material handling and support for machine operators.
Maintain clear and organized yard and production areas by properly stacking, storing, and identifying materials.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures related to forklift operation, outdoor work, and production activities.
Communicate with production and yard teams to ensure timely movement of materials and support smooth operations.
Inspect forklift and related equipment before use and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of recent forklift operating experience in an industrial, warehouse, or yard environment.
At least 1 year of outdoor work experience, preferably in a material handling or production setting.
Demonstrated ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions for the majority of the shift.
Ability to cross-train and perform basic production tasks when needed.
Strong awareness of safety practices related to forklift operation and material handling.
Reliable attendance and ability to work 2nd shift hours as scheduled.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Approximately 6 months of production experience is a plus.
Approximately 6 months of machine operation experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
Willingness to obtain additional licenses and certifications provided by the company.
Ability to work effectively in both outdoor and indoor environments.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Work Environment
The work environment is predominantly outdoors, with approximately 90% of the time spent in the yard in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow. The indoor production area is not climate controlled and can become cramped when scrap material accumulates, requiring awareness of space and safety. Employees should be comfortable working in industrial yard and production settings and wearing appropriate attire for outdoor work and varying temperatures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
