Job Summary and Qualifications
Role Summary : Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, manages the daily operations of the PACE Center. Responsibilities include hiring, training, evaluating, and any necessary corrective action. Additional responsibilities include the planning, coordination and implementation of all operations in the PACE Center. Works in conjunction with the Social Workers to assure that concerns and support are followed up on to families, participants, and caregivers. Works in conjunction with the Therapy team (PT/OT/ST/RT) to assure that recreational activities and wellness classes are provided as scheduled. Works in conjunction with the Registered Dietician to deliver an excellent dining experience and assure that diets are provided as ordered. Works with the Triage RN to ensure that Program Aides complete assigned daily tasks and report areas of concern.
What qualifications you will need:
Required Education: Associates Degree plus five (5) years related experience or Bachelors Degree plus two (2) years related experience.
Preferred Education: Clinical Healthcare related Bachelor's Degree
Required License: Valid NC Driver's License, Valid BLS and First Aid
Acceptable License: Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Speech Language Pathologist, Recreational Therapist
Required Experience: At least 1 year working with a frail or elderly population. Working knowledge of physical, mental, spiritual, transportation, and social needs of the frail/elderly and their families. At least 2 years of recent, relevant clinical health experience. Demonstrated effective leadership and decision-making skills with at least one (1) year experience. Previous supervisory skills including coaching and mentoring. Knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques of personal assistance services. Working knowledge of quality improvement and cost containment systems.
Adult Day Services Expectations: The Day Center Supervisor will feel confident and positive about being in an environment with impaired adults. He/she must also have the ability to handle potentially crisis/emergency situations appropriately and effectively. He/she will be flexible and adaptable to necessary staffing situations at the center as needed and will assist in maintaining the appropriate participant to staff ratios. He/she will participate in the team process as an active team member and will direct issues or concerns about the program directly to his/her supervisor. He/she must also maximize productivity while maintaining high quality.
Preferred Experience: Experience working effectively within an interdisciplinary team model, interfacing and collaborating with a wide range of clinical and social services disciplines who work together to manage the PACE participants' care. Ability to effectively and efficiently plan, prioritize and follow up on/delegate responsibilities
