Caterpillar's Earthmoving Division has an exciting career opportunity for you as a Manufacturing & Distribution Project Engineer within the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (SC COE) team. Our vision is to provide operations and value chain solutions that transform product strategy into reality.
Role Summary: In this role, you will lead efforts aimed at supporting and improving Earthmovings outbound network strategies and execution through collaboration with a diverse, geographically dispersed team. This role focuses on driving agility, flexibility, and visibility across the entire network, to deliver products and services to our customers with the highest safety, quality, velocity, and world competitive cost.
What You'll Do (Job Duties)
Implement distribution solutions in alignment with the product strategy
Manage multiple complex projects focused on global supply chain strategies delivering improvement across product availability, cost and product distribution.
Develop, Coordinate and Lead the projects from strategy to execution regarding product distribution
Work with Global Transportation and Logistics teams to implement transportation and logistics solutions that impact product manufacturing, quality, cost, and availability.
Lead collaboration and communication across multiple business division functions, which may include implementing changes to product Value Add work and assembly processes
Develop assembly and validation standards for work performed within the product distribution and storage process
Coordinate quality and engineering change management regarding EMD product offerings distributed through the EPCs (Equipment Processing Centers)
What You Have (Core Skills)
Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.
Manufacturing Engineering: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in product manufacturing; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance
Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
Quality & Change Management: Basic knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in product quality issue and design change management.
Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Experience across Operations, Logistics, Automation and/or Quality roles
Six Sigma Black Belt or project leadership experience
Previous experience with or exposure to Earthmoving products
Experience as a strong collaborator including interpersonal and negotiation skills to drive common processes across multiple EPC facilities within a product.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems

· This position requires 5 days per week in the office (M-F)
Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
