The Supply Chain Engineer collaborates closely with suppliers and internal teams to design, implement, and optimize material flow and replenishment plans that support uninterrupted production. This role ensures that planning systems accurately forecast demand, monitors supply chain performance, and drives cost-effective solutions that align with overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the supply base to develop and maintain material flow and replenishment plans that support smooth and continuous production.
Work with suppliers to ensure they meet supply chain performance targets, including delivery reliability, lead times, and quality expectations.
Ensure the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system accurately forecasts demand for the supply base, and adjust parameters as needed to reflect changes in demand or production schedules.
Coordinate closely with internal departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and sales, to align supply chain operations with business goals and production requirements.
Conduct regular cost-benefit analyses of supply chain activities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and process optimization.
Monitor and manage inventory procedures to maintain optimal stock levels, preventing both shortages that could disrupt production and excess supply that could increase carrying costs.
Analyze supply chain performance data and generate reports on key metrics such as delivery times, transportation costs, and inventory levels.
Identify trends and issues in supply chain performance and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to enhance reliability, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated experience in supply chain management or a related supply chain engineering role.
Proficiency in working with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to forecast demand and manage supply.
Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders across procurement, manufacturing, and sales.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supply chain performance data and develop actionable insights.
Experience monitoring and managing inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and support uninterrupted production.
Capability to conduct cost-benefit analyses and recommend cost reduction or process improvement opportunities.
Solid understanding of material flow, replenishment planning, and supply chain performance metrics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience generating and presenting supply chain performance reports to stakeholders.
Background in continuous improvement or process optimization within a supply chain environment.
Familiarity with coordinating cross-functional projects involving procurement, manufacturing, and sales teams.
Work Environment
This role is based in East Peoria, IL and follows a daytime schedule of approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position operates in a professional environment that requires close collaboration with internal departments and external suppliers, with a focus on supporting reliable production and efficient supply chain operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.25/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
