1st Shift - Maintenance Electrician - Pay up to $35/hr
Job Description:
The 1st Shift Maintenance Electrician performs industrial and facility maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, working with 480V and 3-phase electrical systems, and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to support safe and reliable plant operations.
Responsibilities:
Perform industrial and facility maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of production processes.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLC-controlled systems to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Conduct repairs, installations, and modifications on 480V and 3-phase electrical systems, including motors and related components.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy industrial equipment commonly found in mills, construction-related operations, and similar environments.
Service and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, hoses, and air lines, to ensure proper function and safety.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation to perform accurate and efficient repairs.
Work with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other electronic control systems to support equipment performance and energy efficiency.
Perform mechanical repairs and adjustments on production equipment as needed to support overall maintenance activities.
Follow established safety procedures and actively contribute to a strong safety culture in all maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and respond promptly to equipment issues.
Document maintenance work performed, including repairs, parts used, and system updates, in accordance with company standards.
Essential Skills:
Proven experience performing industrial electrical maintenance in a heavy industrial environment such as mills, construction, or similar facilities.
Strong proficiency working with 480V electrical systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation in an industrial setting.
Hands-on experience with 3-phase electrical systems and related components.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment and programmable logic controllers.
Experience maintaining and repairing heavy industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their maintenance requirements.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and their application in industrial equipment.
Working knowledge of motors, electronics, and basic mechanical systems used in manufacturing environments.
Commitment to following safety procedures and contributing to a safe work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in construction-related industrial environments or large-scale manufacturing facilities.
Experience in equipment repair involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
Comfort working with a variety of industrial tools, test equipment, and diagnostic devices.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with a broader maintenance and production team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under time pressure.
Willingness to work in a heavy industrial setting that may be dusty and not climate-controlled.

Work Environment:
The role is based in a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that is currently expanding and installing new equipment. The environment is heavy industrial, not climate-controlled, and can be dusty and dirty, with concrete being poured as trucks pull into the bays until new machines are fully installed. Approximately 50 employees currently work on the floor, with plans to grow to around 80 employees over the next three months. The organization places a strong emphasis on safety and expects all team members to adhere to and support rigorous safety standards in this industrial setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Employees are eligible for a full benefits package after 90 days (vision/medical/dental)
Will have 401k offering in 2027
