Job Title: Experienced Cook

Job Overview:

LGC Hospitality Staffing is hiring experienced Cooks to support restaurants, hotels, country clubs, healthcare facilities, corporate dining operations, and event venues. This is a temporary, on-call position ideal for dependable culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced kitchens and are committed to preparing high-quality food with consistency and precision.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 to 2 years of professional line cook experience and is comfortable following standardized recipes, preparing sauces, working multiple stations, and maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation while representing LGC at client locations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and client specifications

Execute assigned stations including grill, saut , prep, pantry, or other kitchen stations as needed

Prepare sauces, soups, stocks, dressings, and other recipes with consistency and attention to detail

Perform food preparation including chopping, slicing, portioning, marinating, and ingredient setup

Ensure proper food presentation, portion control, and quality standards

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout each shift

Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

Communicate effectively with chefs, kitchen managers, and fellow team members during service

Assist with stocking, rotating inventory, and kitchen cleanup

Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to work

Requirements:

1 to 2 years of professional line cook experience required

Experience working grill, saut , prep, or multiple line stations

Ability to accurately follow recipes and prepare menu items with consistency

Experience preparing sauces, soups, stocks, and other scratch-made recipes preferred

Strong knife skills and food preparation techniques

Ability to work efficiently in high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environments

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Reliable transportation to various job sites

Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Professional appearance and dependable attendance
