GENERAL CONSTRUCTION LABORER

Location: White Sands Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Openings: 4 Pay:

N80 Project: $17.75/hr

Missile Project: $22.29/hr

Job Summary

The General Construction Laborer assists skilled tradespeople with various construction activities on an active outdoor jobsite. This position requires consistent physical activity, working outdoors, following safety procedures, and assisting crews as needed to keep projects moving efficiently.

Essential Duties

Assist carpenters, concrete workers, iron workers, and other skilled trades.

Load, unload, carry, and stage construction materials.

Move tools, equipment, lumber, rebar, concrete materials, and jobsite supplies.

Perform general jobsite cleanup and remove construction debris.

Prepare work areas before construction activities begin.

Use basic hand and power tools as directed.

Assist with measuring, positioning, assembling, and securing construction materials.

Dig, shovel, sweep, and perform other general construction duties.

Follow instructions from foremen, supervisors, and skilled tradespeople.

Maintain clean and organized work areas.

Follow PPE requirements and established jobsite safety procedures.

Requirements

Previous construction or general labor experience preferred.

Comfortable performing physically demanding work.

Ability to work outdoors throughout the scheduled shift.

Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, reach, stand, walk, and handle construction materials.

Dependable attendance and ability to report to White Sands as scheduled.

Must meet all applicable requirements to obtain access to the military installation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT - ALL POSITIONS

These are OUTDOOR CONSTRUCTION POSITIONS. Candidates should understand that the work will be performed outdoors and may involve exposure to heat, sun, wind, dust, and changing weather conditions.

Because the projects are located at White Sands, workers must also be able to satisfy all applicable military installation access and security requirements.
