Job Title: Construction Laborer Job Description
This role focuses on supporting the assembly of solar panels and performing a variety of general construction labor tasks on a commercial job site. You will handle materials, operate basic hand and power tools, and follow clear instructions to ensure panels are aligned and installed correctly.
Responsibilities
Assist with the assembly and installation of solar panels on a large commercial roof.
Load and unload solar panels and related materials safely and efficiently.
Use a tape measure to take accurate measurements and align panels according to foreman instructions.
Follow direction from the foreman to position and secure panels in the correct locations.
Operate hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, and impact drills provided on site.
Perform general construction labor duties, including material handling, basic assembly, and site cleanup.
Carry out physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment and materials.
Walk up and down stairs and navigate the job site safely throughout the workday.
Work full 8 to 10 hour shifts as required to support project timelines.
Adhere to all site safety procedures and use equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in the construction field performing physical labor.
General labor or construction experience in a commercial or similar environment.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and extended periods of walking and standing.
Comfort working 8 to 10 hour days in an outdoor construction setting.
Ability to accurately use a tape measure for measurements and alignment.
Basic proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches and hammers.
Basic proficiency with power tools such as an impact drill.
Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with assembly tasks in a construction or general labor role.
Familiarity with working on commercial job sites.
Ability to follow detailed instructions from a foreman and work as part of a team.
Strong attention to safety and awareness of surroundings on elevated work areas.

Work Environment
You will work outdoors at a commercial job site on a large flat commercial roof. Access to the roof is provided via a commercial lift, and there are no ladders used for this work. The site includes a perimeter warning system, and there is no work near elevator shafts or the edge of the building. You will use tools such as wrenches, impact drills, hammers, and tape measures provided on site. Expect 8 to 10 hour workdays in an outdoor environment, with typical construction site conditions requiring appropriate work attire and adherence to all safety guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Reading, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
