Summary Provides oversight, coordination, and execution of administrative, financial, human resources and operational functions to support high-quality, Veteran-centered ambulatory care delivery. Works collaboratively with all clinical, non-clinical and ancillary CBOC leadership in conjunction with the Assistant Director and Nurse Manager (NM) to ensure efficient operations, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, and continuous performance improvement across facilities. Responsibilities Performs overall administrative management for the facility at the assigned CBOC(s). Interprets administrative policies, developing and/or implementing local policies, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice to top management on related issues. Oversee CBOC operations including space utilization, workflow coordination, scheduling support, records management, and administrative support functions. Indirectly support all clinical, non-clinical and ancillary services to include but are not limited to Nursing, Mental Health, Primary Care, Geriatrics, Pathology, Imaging, Medical, Surgical, Social Work, Health Administrative and Facility services provided at the CBOC location. Ensure deadlines are met in accordance with Veteran Health Administration System standards and regulatory guidelines being used to implement programs and processes that support the mission of the organization. Serves as equipment custodial official for facility shared non-expendable equipment at the assigned CBOC site and coordinate with supply chains inventory management team for required annual inventories. Responsible to relieve the Nurse Manager and other CBOC leaders to the maximum extent possible of the administrative management responsibilities related to the assigned CBOC that can be assumed by an administrative employee. Develop status reports or response materials for the CBOC leadership needing high-level attention review and signatures. Guides budget formulation, justification, presentation and execution. Develops and maintains quality management programs which provide the services and technical counsel necessary to meet procedural, legal ,and accreditation requirements relating to the care and treatment of patients. Collaborates with Executive Leadership Team in the development of short and long range plans for future growth and development of the service. Serves as the local co-incident commander, reporting up to the Emergency Manager and BPVAHCS Incident Command during emergency events. Aids in the management of procurement for the assigned CBOC, acting as a Contracting Resource Officer.
