Position Summary
The Aftermarket Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing sales strategies to grow aftermarket revenue, increase customer retention, and expand market share. This position oversees the sales and business development activities related to replacement parts, repair services, maintenance programs, upgrades, and other aftermarket solutions. The Aftermarket Sales Manager develops and maintains strong customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and collaborates cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to ensure exceptional customer support and business growth.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve aftermarket revenue and profitability objectives.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new aftermarket business opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
Lead , coach and mentor aftermarket Sales and customer service team
Manage and grow customer relationships by serving as the primary point of contact for aftermarket products and services.
Forecast sales, develop budgets, and monitor performance against established goals and metrics.
Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and proposal development for aftermarket products and services.
Collaborate with OEM Sales Account Managers to maximize aftermarket sales on new business and contract renewals
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.
Drive customer retention initiatives and promote long-term service agreements and support programs.
Review and respond to customer inquiries, requests for quotes (RFQs), and service opportunities in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and customer data
Develop and present sales reports, business reviews, and performance updates to senior leadership.
Travel as required to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and support business development efforts.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical business practices.
Position Requirements
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degreein Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of sales, business development, or account management experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or related environment.
Minimum of 3 years in Leadership and supervisory role
Proven track record of achieving sales growth and revenue targets.
Strong understanding of aftermarket products, services, maintenance programs, and customer support strategies.
Experience developing customer relationships and managing key accounts.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Travel Requirement: Up to 30-50% as needed for customer visits and business development activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or engineered product environments.
Previous leadership or sales management experience.
Knowledge of customer contract management, pricing strategies, and service agreements.
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with FAA, AS9100, ISO, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma experience.
Established network of industry contacts and customers within target markets.
