This is a Stanford Blood Center job.
A Brief Overview
Provides routine administrative or operational support for Medical Services processes working from detailed instructions or under direct supervision.

What you will do
Under general supervision of the manager, generates donor notification letters weekly, routes to Manager to review, and prepares mailings.
Receives reinstatement requests and works with Medical Services Manager to determine re-qualification status.
Schedules re-test appointments and provides next step instructions to donors.
Submits reinstatement requests for SBC MD evaluation and under general supervision of the manager, notifies donors of their reinstatement status.
Works with Manager and MarCom to develop donor outreach strategies to increase reinstatement opportunities for former blood donors.
Supports Manager in managing departmental SOPs. Operates multiple software programs including BECS (blood establishment computer system), EtQ Reliance program (document control, EDRs, donor comments), HemaConnect (appointment scheduling) and other required software. Helps maintain department dashboards and helps with the development of new dashboards.
Supports Manager with post donation information forms (PDIFs) and processes related to abnormal PLT count donor and product management. Updates PDIFs and the BECS with donor and product management updates.
Complies with governmental regulations and Stanford Health Care and Blood Center policies regarding health and safety. Observes and supports good health and safety practices.
Strictly observes privacy and security related policies, procedures and practices to preserve the integrity and confidentiality of medical and other sensitive information pertaining to donors, patients, research subjects, and team members. Acts as a responsible information steward and treat information as sensitive and confidential in accordance with federal and state laws and with professional ethics, accreditation standards and legal requirements. Does not disclose protected health information inappropriately.
May be required to enter areas where other individuals work with human blood; potential may exist for unanticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens by splash or spill.
Education Qualifications
2-year college degree required with preferred major or minor in public health, sociomedical sciences, behavioral health or other health related specialty required.
Experience Qualifications
One (1) year working in a healthcare setting or health related industry preferred.

Proficiency using Windows-based office software and email applications (Microsoft Office suite).

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $32.17 - $41.02 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
