My client has an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a role as a Senior Accountant in their Mclean VA office. They are within the healthcare industry and the ideal person selected for the Senior Accountant position would be a CPA or some pursuing their CPA with a healthcare or public accounting background. This person will be responsible for assisting with the accounting operations for the company and will report to the Controller. The duties will consist of supporting the month-end close process, posting various journal entries; including intercompany activity, reconciling various accounts, producing financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting and ensuring the company remains in compliance with US GAAP. Daily responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:

· Property and asset management.

· Assist with month-end close process.

· Prepare various budgets and schedules.

· Assist with property tax and other filings.

· Reconcile general ledger accounts.

· Ensure company is in compliance.

Requirements

The ideal Senior Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

· 2+ years of public accounting or healthcare experience.

· CPA, a plus.

· Communicate effectively to leadership.
