ELECTRICAL PANEL ASSEMBLERS (I & II): \$18-\$28/HR SHIFT/ HOURS: 2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) JOB TYPE: Full-time (Temporarily Contracted- to Full-Time Hire) LOCATION: [WEST BOYLSTON, MA] POSITION SUMMARY: An Electrical Panel Assembler is responsible for building, wiring, and testing electrical control panels and related assemblies according to schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and work instructions. This role involves mounting components, routing and terminating wires, labeling, and performing basic continuity checks while adhering to safety and quality standards in a production or manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and related assemblies using layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. - Mount and secure electrical components such as breakers, relays, contactors, terminal blocks, PLCs, power supplies, and other devices onto backplates and enclosures. - Route, cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables according to wiring diagrams and industry standards. - Label wires, terminals, and components accurately to match documentation and schematics. - Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and basic electrical test equipment safely and correctly. - Perform basic continuity and polarity checks; identify and report wiring or component issues. - Inspect panels and assemblies for proper wiring, labeling, workmanship, and conformance to specifications. - Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines at all times. - Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly handle materials and equipment. - Complete required documentation such as production records, inspection forms, and labels accurately. - Collaborate with leads, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve assembly or wiring problems. - Support continuous improvement efforts related to efficiency, quality, and safety. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent (GED). - Previous experience in electrical panel assembly, electrical assembly, or related industrial wiring in a manufacturing or production environment. - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. - Proficient with common hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, crimpers, cutters, strippers) and small power tools. - Solid understanding of basic electrical concepts such as polarity, continuity, grounding, and wire sizing. - Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail. - Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods and lift [X] lbs as needed (e.g., 25-50 lbs). - Basic computer skills for accessing work instructions and entering production data. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE): - Technical training or coursework in electronics, industrial electricity, mechatronics, or a related field. - Experience with control panel wiring for industrial automation, HVAC, machinery, or process systems. - Familiarity with relevant standards or best practices (e.g., NEC, UL508A, IEC) as applicable. - Experience with cable harness assembly, enclosure layout, or field wiring. - Ability to use basic electrical test equipment such as multimeters, continuity testers, or megohm meters.
