Supply Chain Planner
Location: Oshkosh, WI
Contract opening (Possible Direct hire after a contract period)

Hourly rate : 30hr - 40hr Depending on experience
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Supply Planners / Materials Planners to support manufacturing and supply chain operations in the Oshkosh, WI area. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating material availability, managing inventory, analyzing supply and demand requirements, and working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking manufacturing environment where priorities and material requirements can change quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and schedule inventory to support production and customer demand.
Analyze supply and demand patterns to identify shortages, excess inventory, and potential material constraints.
Determine material quantities and required delivery dates based on production schedules and customer requirements.
Execute and manage supply plans with assigned suppliers.
Coordinate supplier schedules and material releases to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor inventory levels, backorders, past-due materials, and critical components.
Work with suppliers to reduce lead times and adjust order quantities based on changing demand.
Provide timely updates regarding inventory availability, shortages, and recovery plans.
Assist with inventory redistribution and material reallocation when necessary to support production requirements.
Review supplier performance and address delivery or material availability concerns.
Support supplier improvement and corrective-action initiatives when performance issues arise.
Participate in supplier and internal planning meetings to identify capacity constraints, delivery risks, and changing material requirements.
Maintain accurate planning data within ERP and materials management systems.
Support production scheduling, replenishment planning, procurement scheduling, and material flow activities.
Analyze supply chain KPIs and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Minimize excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining appropriate material availability.
Support new product introductions, engineering changes, phase-outs, and other material transitions.
Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives involving safety, quality, material flow, inventory, and planning processes.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Perform additional supply chain and planning responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-4 years of relevant experience in supply planning, material planning, production planning, inventory control, procurement, or a related supply chain function preferred.
Experience managing inventory and coordinating material requirements in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to analyze supply, demand, inventory, and production requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment .
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office .
Experience working with an ERP, MRP, or supply chain planning system .
Preferred Qualifications
JD Edwards ERP experience
Oracle ERP experience
Experience with other ERP/MRP or supply chain planning systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with inventory management, production planning, material requirements planning, or supplier scheduling.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
APICS, CPIM, CPSM, CMRP, Lean, or similar certification is a plus.
