As a Developmental Technician specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance at Walmart, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our stores, equipment, and fixtures. Working under the guidance of the local Market Manager, you'll follow established schedules and guidelines, performing inspections, cleaning, and repairs to keep everything running smoothly.

Minimum Qualifications:

18 years or older

High School Diploma or equivalent

Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time

Can move up and down ladders frequently

Comfortable working at heights frequently

Ability to sit or stand for long periods

Able to work in various temperatures

Must maintain an excellent driving record

Key Responsibilities:

All primary responsibilities will be assisted or performed under the direct supervision of an experienced technician

Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs

Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities

Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls

Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues

Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

Minimum Qualifications...

Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.

Option 1: 1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.

Option 2: 2 years' Walmart store experience.

EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.- Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.

Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.

No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications...

Experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related area for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)., Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams., Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
