Job Description
The Clean Room Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of factory equipment and machinery in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the facility's production processes.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems for all production equipment as needed.
Conduct major equipment rebuilds, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating reliably.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective, lasting repairs.
Repair and replace electrical components and assemblies as required to restore proper function.
Assist with upgrades and enhancements to process control systems as new technologies and equipment are introduced.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging control systems, maintenance practices, and cleanroom procedures.
Accurately complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation in a timely and organized manner.
Work closely with production, quality control, and engineering teams to support efficient and stable manufacturing operations.
Operate and support inspection and quality control activities using microscopes and other cleanroom tools as needed.
Follow all safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols while working around semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience required; 3-5 years strongly preferred.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills for production machinery and equipment.
Strong electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and best practices.
Solid problem-solving, diagnostic, and detail-oriented abilities.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work overtime or weekends as needed to support production demands.
Ability to work effectively in a cleanroom environment supporting semiconductor manufacturing.
Experience working safely around industrial equipment and varying temperatures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree in Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience in a cleanroom environment, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing, is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with operator and quality control (QC) responsibilities in a production setting.
Experience using microscopes for inspection and quality checks.
Understanding of electronics and semiconductor processes.
Comfort working with process control systems and participating in system upgrades.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance, supported by dependable transportation.

Work Environment
The role is based in a cleanroom manufacturing facility that produces semiconductor chips used in RF technology for telecommunications. The environment is fast paced and growth-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and precision. You will work around industrial equipment, electronics, and process control systems in a controlled cleanroom setting, often using microscopes and other inspection tools. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime or weekend work as needed to support operations. The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting, as well as working in areas with varying temperatures. You are expected to follow all safety, cleanroom, and quality procedures, maintain a professional appearance consistent with cleanroom and manufacturing standards, and demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.Entry

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $20.75/hr.
