What's a typical day as Grant Administrator? You'll be:
Supporting the preparation and submission of grant proposals by coordinating requirements, gathering documentation, and working with internal and external stakeholders
Assisting with management of sponsored research accounts, including budget monitoring, reviewing expenditures, and ensuring appropriate fund usage
Preparing financial reports, reconciling account activity, and assisting with grant closeout processes
Reviewing expenses and documentation to ensure compliance with university policies and sponsor requirements
Maintaining accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting needs
Partnering with faculty, researchers, finance teams, and administrative staff throughout the grant lifecycle
Tracking deadlines, reporting requirements, budget updates, and supporting other grant-related activities
Assisting with process improvements, updating documentation, and supporting training materials as needed
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Bring experience in grants administration, research administration, higher education, nonprofit, accounting, finance, or related fields
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review and interpret financial information
Have experience managing budgets, tracking expenses, reconciling information, or supporting compliance processes
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and can manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with strong collaboration skills
Are proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, or other financial systems is a plus
