What's a typical day as a Coater Technician? You'll be:
Setting up and operating a coating machine to apply solutions to continuous sheet materials, ensuring products meet specific tolerances and specifications
Loading and unloading rolls of material onto the machine, regulating speed, and adjusting the amount of solution applied
Troubleshooting coating and machine problems, making necessary corrections, and coordinating with quality control and group leaders
Identifying, packing, and moving hazardous materials according to safety procedures
Cleaning up the machine for the next product run and maintaining a clean work area in accordance with safety, housekeeping, and environmental policies
Performing quality assurance testing, visual inspections, and documenting production, process, and quality data
Training other personnel when qualified and authorized to do so
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have at least 1 year of experience as a Coater/Mixer Trainee or equivalent machine operator experience (required)
Possess a High School Diploma or GED (required)
Are able to lift up to 50 lbs and have manual and visual dexterity
Have strong communication and organizational skills, and can adapt to changing priorities
Are comfortable working around moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and varying temperatures
Have a working knowledge of applicable quality management system (QMS) procedures and problem-solving methods
Forklift operation experience and good PC skills are preferred
