Position: AQP Engineer

Job Description:

Identify & resolve quality issues during development. Verify product & process. Meet the customer & design requirements. Perform customer required and special characteristic management. Ensure customer PPAP [Production Part Approval Process] requirements meet required timing & work directly with production plants in preparing the documentation. Ensure qualification plans are created and completed. Ensure safe launch activities are implemented and meet customer requirements. Lead 8D activities for issues found prior to SOP [Start of Production] for production, field or validation problems. Provide on-site support at production plants to identify CTQ (critical to quality) items for inclusion in work instruction, PFMEA's [Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis] and control plans. Lead quality contact between customer and Molex for all complaints and field issues. Initiate global containment to avoid customer line down, confirming clean point for customer. Monitor external sorting costs. Manage RMA process for customer returns of 0km claims. Drive creation of internal QN's for Molex internal plants. Ensure customer 8D's are competently completed and are effective for customer acceptance. Negotiate customer charge backs with the Molex sales team. Lead quality and warranty review meetings with customer.

Minimum Requirements:**

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering Technology, or a related field and 3 years of direct OEM automotive industry experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all the following:

8D problem solving;

Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and control plan analysis; and

Statistical process control analysis for confirming manufacturing processes control.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in all of the following:

Esupplier Connect portals - CQMS, B2B, MaPS, NCT, and GIMS;

Reverse Failure Mode and Effects Analysis process; and

Forever Requirements (FR).

International travel required up to 15%.

Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
