Morgan Asset Management - Private Equity Group (PEG), with $41 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2026, is comprised of more than 75 professionals globally, and is active in all private equity investment @types, styles, stages of business development, industry sectors and geographical locations, and during all market environments. The team manages diversified commingled funds, evergreen products and customized separate accounts investing in all stages and @types of private equity including buyout and venture capital across partnerships, secondaries, and co-investments. Job Summary
The Private Equity Group is seeking a Full-Time Associate to join its Information Management team. The need for an associate is a function of growth in the business and the successful candidate will perform similar functions to existing members in the same position. The associate will require strong quantitative skills and/or a desire to learn advanced Excel techniques for both maintaining and improving portfolio and performance analytics across a range of data and information sources. The associate will be responsible for servicing client needs and supporting the portfolio managers responsible for investing the clients' assets, which will include evaluating information contained in correspondence from underlying investments, coordinating investment activity, performing reconciliations and overseeing the clients/portfolios service providers (for example, the custodian), and preparing communications, including financial reports, for the clients' use. The position requires a strong understanding of financial/accounting/tax practices and will also include support in building and creating presentation materials, reviewing investment valuations and financial analysis. The associate is required to have strong PowerPoint, Excel, financial reporting and writing skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly/quarterly reports as required in agreement with clients
Review third party investment valuations and maintain accurate accounting of clients' positions
Assist in managing capital activity across client portfolios
Perform management and incentive fee calculations in accordance with fund and client agreements
Create, maintain, review and improve client materials including portfolio reviews, performance analytics and benchmarking, and ad-hoc data requests
Create and update analytical models and excel templates to support client and prospect needs, including commitment modeling and cash flow projections
Liaise with information management colleagues, JPMAM client service managers and technology team to streamline/automate/verify client data and reporting (standard/customized/ad hoc)
Reconcile transaction activity between custodian and Private i reports
Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies
Respond to client and portfolio manager information requests
Evaluate investment performance
Identify efficiencies in business processes to support growing business
Required Qualifications, Competencies and skills
2+ years of experience in private equity, finance, information management, data analytics or accounting strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or the equivalent and knowledge of private equity transactions, management fee and incentive fee calculations
Skilled in Microsoft Excel (VBA knowledge not required but preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Strong communication, excellent spreadsheet and analytical skills
Possesses organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
Demonstrates analytical skills and financial modeling aptitude
Ability to prioritize a variety of responsibilities and ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced client-facing environment; ability to learn and execute new tasks quickly and in real-time
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Willingness to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with the ability to work independently
