Job Title: Electrical Assembler / Electrical Technician Job Description
This role focuses on evaluating, assembling, and maintaining electrical systems during the installation of electrical components on vehicle-mounted aerial lifts installed onto truck bodies. You will work with industrial and automotive electrical systems to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and in alignment with engineering specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus used on aerial lift installations.
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning electrical and electronic equipment, appliances, and apparatus to restore proper operation.
Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and following detailed specifications and instructions.
Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to guide installation and repair work.
Advise leadership when equipment, appliances, or apparatus are unsuitable for continued use and recommend appropriate actions.
Perform minor troubleshooting to isolate electrical problems and determine the root cause of issues.
Perform repairs involving minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems as needed to support overall equipment function.
Identify parts that require repair or replacement and document them accurately.
Locate and identify replacement parts in manuals and prepare requests for parts to be requisitioned.
Provide and properly use tools required to perform assigned repair and assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
Observe all safety precautions and procedures required by the company and applicable regulations.
Use and wear all required personal protective equipment and safety gear while performing duties.
Report any unsafe acts, conditions, or equipment discovered during daily tasks to appropriate personnel.
Clean and maintain the work area to ensure an orderly, safe, and efficient workspace.
Perform other related duties as assigned in support of production, maintenance, and installation activities.
Essential Skills
Basic knowledge of industrial wiring and power distribution systems.
Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.
Ability to use hand and power tools required to perform minor repairs and assembly work.
Ability to work effectively in a group or team environment to repair and maintain equipment.
Ability to work unsupervised in certain conditions while completing assigned tasks.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment subject to heat, cold, noise, dust, and odors.
Ability to work shifts as required by the company.
Forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain certification as it will be required).
Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering equipment, and fault-testing equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical and related issues.
Good communication skills to interact with team members and share technical information clearly.
At least 2 years' experience as an Electrical Technician preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Two-year Electrical, Technical, or related degree preferred.
Completion of an electrical apprenticeship is a plus.
Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is beneficial.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical manuals and parts lists.
Comfort working around vehicle-mounted equipment and truck bodies.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment where vehicle-mounted aerial lifts and related equipment are assembled and installed onto truck bodies. You will work around industrial and automotive electrical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic components, and use a variety of hand and power tools, soldering equipment, and fault-testing instruments. The facility environment may include exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and odors, and shift work may be required based on production needs. The role involves regular lifting and manipulation of components up to 50 pounds and operating or working around forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Appropriate safety equipment and personal protective gear are provided and must be worn as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waco, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
