THE POSITION
Take the next step in your career with this Custodial Worker 2 position in the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Laurel Hill State Park Complex. You will be part of a dedicated team that cleans and maintains the park's buildings and grounds. This role offers the chance to take pride being part of our mission to conserve and sustain Pennsylvania's natural resources for present and future generations' use and enjoyment. Your work will help ensure the park is safe, clean, and welcoming for visitors and employees.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position helps clean and maintain public and employee use areas throughout the park. Work includes caring for park grounds and buildings, inside and out. As a Custodial Worker 2, you will perform the following duties:
Facility Cleaning:Perform general cleaning of floor, walls, stairwells, furniture, and fixtures
Restroom Care:Clean restrooms and replace supplies as needed
Waste Handling:Collect trash and recyclables; deposit in a dumpster or recycle container as appropriate
Outdoor Upkeep:Clean walkways and vehicles, remove snow, and help maintain exterior areas
Supply Support:Properly store all supplies and equipment; help order and distribute new supplies when ordered
Teamwork:Guide and train other custodial staff when assigned; report any repairs needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, permanent position with benefits
Work hours are typically 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Employee will work 37.5 hours / five days per week to include holidays and weekends when needed. Shift hours and days may vary due to operational need to support seven days per week operation.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Custodial Worker 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
One year of experience performing custodial work.
