Job Summary

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn is inviting applications for an LEO Adjunct Lecturer for Fall Term 2026 to teach ENGR 126L.Engineering Computer Graphics. The labs will be taught in person at the Dearborn campus and meet on Tuesday at 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM. Friday at 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM and 12:00 PM - 01:45 PM.

This is expected to be a 25% appointment.

Course Description

Principles of solid modeling and the representation of solid models using both conventional drawing and computer graphics. Orthographic representation of points, lines, planes and solids. Reference planes. Auxiliary views. Sections, conventions, dimensioning. Fundamentals of computer-assisted graphics in engineering disciplines. Three-dimensional modeling using computer graphics software. Two-hour lectures and two-hour laboratory.

Responsibilities*

The Adjunct Lecturer will be expected to teach 3ENGR 126L Labs forEngineering Computer Graphics. The course will be taught in person at the Dearborn campus and meet on Tuesday at 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM. Friday at 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM and 12:00 PM - 01:45 PM.

This is expected to be a 25% appointment. Specific activities include course preparation with syllabus, content delivery, grading, office hours, discussion/meetings with the Department Chair.

Candidates will be evaluated based on submitted CV, relevant recommendations, and relevance of primary appointment.
