This position requires an employee to be onsite at 3200 Labore Rd, Ste 104, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our Finance team. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will direct DCT's system-wide accounting functions and staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting consistent with all applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations and acceptable accounting procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Direct the daily accounting and reporting functions across DCT, including general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Provide leadership and direction over accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls and compliance activities.
Act as the system administrator for the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system including managing user access, monitoring data load, and maintaining data integrity.
Attend meetings with supervisors and/or work groups to develop strategies and workplans needed to implement change.
Direct and supervisor the General Accounting unit to ensure it is staffed, and goals of the department, agency and state are met.
Minimum Qualifications
To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. Three (3) years of experience in accounting, finance, financial management or closely related field. Experience must include:
Hands-on experience with billing, account reconciliations, accounts receivable and financial reporting
Reading, interpreting, and understanding federal and state statutes, rules, and regulations.
Using Microsoft Excel to analyze financial or operational data, prepare reports, and communicate findings.
Using financial accounting systems and software such as SWIFT or Oracle.
AND
Demonstrated leadership experience may include any of the following:
Experience as a supervisor, team lead, lead worker, OR project lead*
Completion of a State leadership development program, such as Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) or Senior Leadership Institute (SLI)
Completion of a similar or equivalent leadership development program through another organization - A paid or unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee, such as an Employee Resource Group (ERG). This experience must also include:
1+ years of identifying issues, goals, and strategic actions
100+ hours per year time commitment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Healthcare accounting or government accounting experience
Knowledge of government financial regulations, fiscal analysis and financial reporting, including MMB financial policies and procedures, statewide budget development processes and Departmental Earnings requirements.
Knowledge of state financial systems including SWIFT, general ledger architecture, Chart of Accounts conventions, revenue and expense coding systems, governmental financial reporting
Skilled at written and verbal communication, including the ability to present complex financial information clearly
