Inside Sales Account Manager

Position Summary

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for generating revenue by managing customer relationships, qualifying sales opportunities, and closing new business. This role combines outbound prospecting, inbound lead management, and account development while working closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality ergonomic furniture solutions. This role drives business growth by promoting AFC Industries' portfolio of ergonomic workstations, medical carts, wall-mounted workstations, height-adjustable furniture, and custom-designed solutions.

The ideal candidate is a consultative salesperson who can understand customer workflow challenges, propose ergonomic solutions, and navigate complex buying cycles involving architects, designers, facility managers, and procurement stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned customer accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.

Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships that drive retention, satisfaction, and loyalty.

Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting, including phone calls, email campaigns, and follow-up outreach.

Conduct regular customer check-ins and business reviews to understand client goals, identify challenges, and recommend solutions.

Qualify inbound leads and convert them into sales opportunities.

Prepare, present, and follow up on quotes and proposals to move opportunities through the sales cycle and close business.

Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, including customer interactions, pipeline activity, forecasts, and sales performance.

Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling additional products and services.

Collaborate with Customer Service and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and support long-term client success.

Qualifications

1-3 years of inside sales or B2B sales experience required.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Design, Ergonomics, or a related field preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to engage customers via email and phone.

Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems.

Highly organized, self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented.

Proven ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

Base Salary: $40,000-$50,000 annually, depending on experience

On-Target Earnings (OTE): $65,000-$90,000 annually (base salary + commission)
