Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation on Robins AFB, GA. Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. Responsibilities Performs a variety of simple, routine, and repetitive accounting duties dealing with cash register. Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties. Accepts payments, checks, makes change--safeguards all transactions; may prepare and issue change funds, bank deposits and daily reports. Assists in conducting inventories, maintains records. Issues hunting and fishing passes to eligible personnel. Issues reservations for base parks and Luna Lodge to authorized patrons. Reserves rental equipment. Provides information to customers on equipment and programs. Accepts fee payments for rented items and ODR events. Accept fee payments for RV storage and car sales lot. Research and provide quotes for new equipment purchases identified by ODR Director. Conducts end-of-day register closeout and submits related paperwork to Director. Assist with ODR special events or ODR program support as needed. Serves as backup for Equipment Rental Yard personnel. Performs other related duties as assigned. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Working knowledge of general administration. Ability to learn organization's functions and procedures sufficient to receive customers or telephone calls, maintain files, etc. Recreation Aid and RecTrac experiences highly recommended. Must have strong customer service experience. Must be a team player and work well with others. Works well under close supervision. Highly preferred to have cash register/handling experience and end of day register closeout experience. MS Excel and MS Word experience preferred Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
