Job Title: Stock Room Associate Job Description
The Stock Room Associate supports daily operations by managing incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring an organized and efficient stockroom. This role works closely with shipping, receiving, and production teams to support a manufacturing and assembly environment while following established procedures and using an ERP system for data entry and tracking.
Responsibilities
Receive and check all incoming shipments of materials and equipment for accuracy, condition, and completeness.
Verify shipping documents against materials received and ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping.
Handle all stockroom procedures, including put-aways, picks, cycle counts, and proper loading and organization of shelves.
Perform routine shipping functions according to established standards and procedures.
Maintain shipping and receiving areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
Use an ERP system to enter, update, and verify inventory and shipping information, including occasional troubleshooting of basic issues.
Perform inventory control activities such as cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
Pick and stage materials and components for production, assembly, and other internal departments as required.
Use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to load, unload, and move materials safely.
Scan and label materials using RF scanners or similar devices to ensure accurate tracking and inventory updates.
Support kitting activities by assembling required parts and materials for specific orders or production runs.
Follow clearly prescribed standard practices and procedures while exercising practical judgment for minor decisions.
Assist with general labor tasks related to stockroom, shipping, receiving, and material handling as needed.
Coordinate with production and office staff to ensure timely availability of materials and accurate order fulfillment.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of shipping and receiving experience.
Previous experience in an assembly, manufacturing, or production environment.
Ability to perform stockroom operations including put-aways, picking, stocking, and cycle counting.
Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including loading, unloading, and material handling.
Proficiency using an ERP system for entering and checking information.
Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of inventory or order management systems.
Ability to use RF scanners or similar scanning devices for inventory tracking.
Experience with inventory control and material handling practices.
Ability to operate pallet jacks and, where applicable, forklifts in a safe manner.
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Knowledge of simple arithmetic for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.
Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English for documentation and instructions.
Ability to follow standard procedures and apply practical judgment to routine tasks.
Capability to perform general labor tasks in a stockroom, shipping, and receiving environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems for inventory and order management.
Experience with kitting and order picking in a production or manufacturing setting.
Training in Mil Spec and Hazardous Material Packaging is a plus.
Good knowledge of ICC shipping requirements is an advantage.
Experience using RF scanners for scanning and tracking materials.
Comfort working with computers and scanning equipment in a stockroom environment.
Previous experience in inventory control, including cycle counts and reconciliation.
Ability to work effectively in coordination with office, assembly, and production teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
