Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

This role supports a high-volume beverage manufacturing and packaging operation by performing essential general labor tasks on automated production lines. Production Associates handle tray loading and unloading, operate simple labeling equipment, pack finished products, and perform basic quality checks in a clean, fast-paced, and consistent environment. The position offers stable, repetitive work that requires strong reliability and attention to detail across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trays from automated production lines to keep product flow steady and efficient.

Operate basic labeling equipment using simple button-push controls according to established procedures.

Pack finished goods accurately and neatly into appropriate packaging for retail and commercial distribution.

Perform visual quality checks on products, labels, and packaging to identify defects or issues.

Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Follow all GMP, safety, and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and compliant production environment.

Support general production tasks as needed, including acting as a backup general laborer on different lines or stations.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and address any production issues.

Consistently meet productivity and quality expectations while working in a fast-paced environment.

Adhere to shift schedules and attendance requirements to support continuous production operations.

Essential Skills

Previous manufacturing or quality experience preferred, particularly in production or general labor roles.

Experience with production environments, including tasks such as loading, unloading, packing, or basic machine operation.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standardized procedures accurately.

Strong attention to detail when performing visual quality checks and packing finished goods.

Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the entire shift in a fast-paced setting.

Comfort working with simple production equipment, such as push-button labeling machines.

Commitment to following GMP and safety standards at all times.

Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Bilingual ability in Spanish preferred to support communication on the production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Skokie, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
