Position Overview
As a SeniorSystems Administrator,you will administer, secure, and optimizeenterprise Windows andLinux environments supportingdevelopment, test, integration, and production systems. You'll play acritical role inensuring highly available, resilient, and secureinfrastructure while partneringwith Agile teamsto continuously improvesystem performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Please note Gaithersburg, MD is the program's primary work location.
Clearance Level Required:
Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer and maintainWindows and Linuxserver environments.
Install, configure, patch, and upgrade operatingsystems and enterpriseapplications.
Monitor system health, performance, capacity,and availability.
Support Agile developmentteams byprovisioning and maintainingdevelopment, test, staging, and production environments.
Implement infrastructurechanges through establishedconfigurationmanagement and changecontrol processes.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, andstorage issues tominimize downtime.
Collaborate with DevSecOpsengineers to automatesystem administration tasksusing scripting andInfrastructureas Code (IaC) tools.
Maintain compliance withIC cybersecurity requirements, RMF controls,STIGs, and securitypolicies.
Perform vulnerability remediation, security patching, andsystemhardening.
Support virtualization platformssuch as VMwarevSphere or Nutanix.
Manage Active Directory, GroupPolicy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and identitymanagement services.
Develop and maintainsystem documentation, standardoperating procedures,and architecture diagrams.
Participate in Agileceremonies including sprintplanning, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospectives.
Provide Tier IIIoperational support andparticipate in after-hours maintenance windowsas required.
Required Qualifications:
US citizenship is required per contract.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
8+ years ofsystems administrationexperience supporting enterpriseenvironments.
Experience supporting IntelligenceCommunity or Departmentof Defense customers.
Strong experience administering:
Windows Server
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
VMware vSphere
Active Directory
DNS/DHCP
Group Policy
Experience with scriptingusing PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
CompTIA Security+ Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
ITIL 4 Foundation
Knowledge of storagetechnologies, backup solutions, and disaster recovery.
Experience applying DISASTIGs and RMFsecuritycontrols.
Familiarity with configurationmanagement and automationtools such asAnsible, Puppet, orChef.
Experience using Gitand supporting CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
PreferredQualifications:
Experience supporting cloudtechnologies such asAWS GovCloud, AzureGovernment, or C2S.
Experience with Kubernetesand container platforms.
Familiarity with Dockerand OpenShift.
Experience with Infrastructureas Code (Terraform,CloudFormation, or Ansible).
Knowledge of ElasticStack, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
Experience supporting DevSecOpsenvironments.
Understanding of ZeroTrust architecture principles.
Experience with SAN/NAS administration.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
