Summary You will serve as an AWARDS SPECIALIST in the Directorate for Administration of NMRTC CAMP LEJEUNE NC. Responsibilities You will serves as sole subject matter expert (SME), responsible for planning, administering, providing technical guidance, advisory service and to the command on Navy personnel award policies and procedures. You will provide administrative assistance by providing policy and procedural advice in preparing requests for modifications and numerous other requests that managers may need technical insight into. You will be responsible for gathering and maintaining promotion data on all officers to verify eligibility prior to promotion. You will be the NMCCL's expert on Medical Officer's Special Pay and is responsible for the implementation and management of the Medical Officer's Special Pays System. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience interpreting and applying policies (DOD, Navy, OPM, and local Human Resources Award, etc.) and regulations to include incentives and recognition programs. Experience processing actions related to monetary and honorary awards, bonuses, and special pay. Experience utilizing strong oral and written communication skills, Experience managing multiple actions and deadlines, while coordinating with management, HR offices, and payroll to ensure accurate and timely execution of awards and pay actions. Experience administering and conducting military ranking boards. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related Any claims you make in your resume regarding education or degrees MUST be supported by submitting with your application official or unofficial transcripts or a list of courses, grades earned, completion dates, and quarter and semester hours earned issued from your school.
