Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support and maintain our organization's network infrastructure in Miami, Florida. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong experience working with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls in a fast-paced environment. The Network Administrator will be responsible for ensuring network performance, security, and reliability while providing timely support for troubleshooting, upgrades, and ongoing infrastructure needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls

Monitor network performance and availability to ensure stable and secure operations

Manage LAN/WAN connectivity, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking environments

Configure and maintain firewall rules, access policies, and network security settings

Diagnose and resolve network outages, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks

Perform firmware updates, patches, backups, and hardware replacements as needed

Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and inventory records

Partner with internal IT teams on infrastructure improvements, implementations, and disaster recovery planning

Recommend enhancements to improve network efficiency, scalability, and security

Requirements

3+ years of experience in network administration or a similar infrastructure support role

Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment

Proven experience supporting routers, switches, and firewalls

Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP

Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
