This role offers an opportunity for a collaborative and motivated Civil Project Engineer to contribute to impactful infrastructure and site development projects across the western United States and internationally. You will join a team of engineers who are passionate about creating a safer, more efficient world by delivering thoughtful, creative, and technically sound civil engineering solutions using state-of-the-art tools and design techniques.
Responsibilities
Design and manage civil and site development projects, including roadways, grading, pavement, stormwater systems, water distribution, and sanitary sewer systems.
Lead and coordinate civil design tasks from concept through construction documents, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop thoughtful and creative engineering solutions that meet client objectives and enhance community quality.
Manage project tasks, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and efficient delivery of project milestones.
Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce detailed plans, profiles, and construction documents for civil infrastructure and site development projects.
Incorporate drainage, grading, stormwater, and land development design principles into project deliverables.
Support and, when appropriate, lead coordination for public, federal, and Department of Defense (DoD) projects, as applicable.
Conduct site visits as needed to observe existing conditions, support design development, and provide construction-phase support.
Travel occasionally to project sites or client locations as required by project needs.
Contribute to a culture of ownership by taking personal responsibility for the quality and performance of your work and supporting the success of the broader team.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington, or currently an EIT nearing eligibility to take the PE exam.
Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or equivalent, with clear progress toward professional licensure.
4+ years of experience in civil design and project management.
Demonstrated experience in civil/site design, including land development, drainage, grading, stormwater, and related infrastructure.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for civil design and documentation.
Experience managing civil/site projects such as roadways, grading, pavement, stormwater systems, water distribution, and sanitary sewer systems.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex engineering projects.
Experience with public sector and/or federal/Department of Defense (DoD) projects preferred.
Ability to manage project tasks, timelines, and client communications effectively.
Ability to conduct site visits and occasional travel as required.
Authorization to work in the United States.

Background in complex, multi-phase civil projects, including local municipal infrastructure and larger federal or aviation programs.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative and practical engineering solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and multidisciplinary coordination.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work and contribute to a culture of shared success.

Work Environment
This position is based in an onsite-focused environment that emphasizes in-person collaboration, mentorship, and professional development. You can expect to work onsite five days a week for at least the first year, or longer, to fully engage in the firm's collaborative culture and project work. The organization uses state-of-the-art tools and design techniques, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D, to deliver high-quality civil and site development projects. The work model incorporates flexibility and trust, allowing you to create your own schedule within project needs to complete your work effectively. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team on projects ranging from local municipal infrastructure to large federal and aviation programs across the United States and internationally, in an environment that values ownership, impact-driven work, and continuous growth.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
