Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a growing team in California. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping financial operations organized, accurate, and on schedule in a fast-moving environment. The position will contribute to reporting, reconciliations, and daily accounting support while partnering with colleagues to strengthen processes and maintain reliable financial data.

Responsibilities:

Reconcile general ledger accounts and research variances to resolve outstanding issues accurately and promptly.

Prepare and share recurring financial reports that help management monitor performance and make informed decisions.

Support day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including billing-related tasks, within a technology-driven accounting environment.

Maintain complete and accurate accounting records by reviewing entries and safeguarding data consistency across financial systems.

Assist the team with process improvement efforts and provide accounting support during software updates or conversion-related activities.

Work closely with accounting staff to meet deadlines and ensure core departmental deliverables are completed with precision.

Help monitor routine accounting functions to promote compliance, accuracy, and efficient month-to-month operations. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in accounting, including work as an Accounting Specialist, Accounting Clerk, or in a comparable position.

Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliations and identify the source of discrepancies.

Hands-on experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing functions, and other core accounting activities.

Comfort using accounting software and the ability to learn new tools quickly.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience preparing or reviewing financial reports.

Strong attention to detail, sound problem-solving ability, and effective organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully in a fast-paced work environment.
