We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to provide high-quality instruction and create a positive learning environment for 1st grade students in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will foster academic growth, support student development, and collaborate effectively with school staff and administration to ensure student success.

Position Responsibilities

Implement daily instructional plans and curriculum for 1st grade students.

Create and maintain a classroom environment that supports learning and personal growth.

Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.

Maintain effective classroom management and promote student engagement.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback as appropriate.

Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and support staff.

Follow district policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Ensure the safety, well-being, and educational success of all students.

Position Details

Position: General Education Teacher

Grade Level: 1st Grade

Setting: Elementary School

Assignment: Classroom Teacher

Hours: 37.5 per week

Schedule: Weekdays, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Contract Length: 40 Weeks

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Classroom Environment: General Education

Medical Support Level: Level 1

Interview Process: Virtual Interview with School Principal

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher required.

Active state teaching license/certification as required by state and district regulations.

One year of teaching experience preferred.

Ability to implement instructional plans and adapt teaching strategies to meet student needs.

Strong communication skills with students, parents, administration, and colleagues.

Ability to maintain a safe, productive, and positive classroom environment.

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.

Commitment to professional standards and educational excellence.

Current CPR certification if applicable.

Current TB screening, PPD, or chest x-ray if required.

Current health certificate as required by state or district regulations.

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour

Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,312.50

Overtime rate available where applicable.
