Responsibilities Serves as an Information Technology Specialist responsible for supporting the various telecommunications network/data/voice systems serving the disbursed missions of the 114th Signal Battalion. Maintain complete knowledge regarding all circuits and systems of the SOC operation. Provide customer support on bridging, routing and inter-operability. Develop and provides training programs on the LAN/WAN facilities. Utilize network management facilities to monitor end evaluate backbone LAN performance. Attend routine and regular SCI level meetings and/or Video Teleconferences, and participation in working groups. Develop architecture and modernization initiatives supporting the geographic combatant command. Advise and participate in the activities of the shift utilizing appropriate test equipment to troubleshoot circuit problems and to contact other centers or tributary stations to inform of problems and coordinate corrective actions.
