At CAE, you'll help build the mission ready training systems that shape how aircrews prepare for real-world operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities??

What You'll Do:
Develop and maintain software for flight and mission simulators, ensuring reliability and performance to train pilots for safe mission outcomes.
Work on legacy code bases critical to simulator functionality, driving modernization through enhancements, and new features while ensuring maintenance, optimization, and stability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware, ensuring seamless operation for real-time, mission-critical applications.
Contribute to projects using both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, adapting to structured development cycles or iterative sprints as needed.
Write and maintain clean, efficient code, with a focus on real-time systems and simulator performance.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional brainstorming to drive innovation within a disciplined development process.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in legacy and real-time systems, ensuring simulators meet the highest standards for pilot training.
Qualifications and Education Requirements??
What You Bring:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of experience in software engineering for mission-critical or real-time environments.
Proven leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring teams, driving technical innovation, and delivering high-quality software in high-stakes environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for ensuring software reliability in high-stakes training environments.
Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. citizenship required.
Flexibility for occasional overtime, shift work, weekend work, and CONUS travel.
Preferred Skills??
Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704; ARINC / RTCA experience preferred.
Experience working in Waterfall and/or Agile/Scrum environments.
Background in military training, simulation, or mission-readiness systems, along with experience working on government or DoD-aligned programs.

Security Responsibilities??

Work Environment??
Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.
Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.
The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues.

Salary Range: $153,300-$169,500.00
The actual compensation rate is subject to the evaluation of the following factors (but not limited to): the candidate's work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.?
