Job Summary

North Anna is looking for a nuclear construction specialist or senior nuclear construction specialist.

Responsible for providing technical support by reviewing design change packages prior to implementation. Perform field walkdowns and constructability reviews prior to the start of work to identify potential problems. Provide support to mechanical, electrical, or civil supervision in planning, scheduling, and man-loading of assigned projects. Verify work is being performed in accordance with station procedures and specifications. Coordinate construction activities between craft personnel and company personnel. Verify work in the field for compliance with station procedures, safety, close-outs, and completion of job as scheduled. Coordinate work with craft personnel. Ensure all equipment and materials are available for work scope. The construction specialist will provide budget input (manpower, duration, materials) for projects they are assigned. (Coordinate testing of completed systems. Interface with the stakeholder's department to solve problems such as Engineering, Operations, Health Physics, Security, etc.

The role may have Non-Dominion Energy Workers (NDEWs) report to them.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

Nuclear Construction Specialist : 3+ years of relevant experience in directly related field, plus a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. (Also acceptable: 5+ years relevant experience in directly related field, plus a related Associate degree, or 7+ years relevant experience with High School Diploma or GED).

Senior Nuclear Construction Specialist : 5+ years of relevant experience in directly related field, plus a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. (Also acceptable: 7+ years relevant experience in directly related field, plus a related Associate degree, or 9+ years relevant experience with High School Diploma or GED).

Relevant experience may be construction/projects experience which may include hands-on project management experience in a particular craft (civil, electrical, mechanical, welding, etc.) or documented experience in the planning and/or implementation of construction projects; Could also include experience in design engineering, drafting, or equivalent.

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or civil design, procedures and codes.

Familiarity with processes and procedures required to implement physical modifications to the facility.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Organizational skills.

Computer proficiency including Maximo, SAP, DocTop, Microsoft Office Suite, Plant Asset Management System (PAMS)

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines: Construction Management

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:

$81900 - $106400

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and work location. This is not intended to represent the full salary range for the position or limit future compensation growth.
