Location:?Fort Wayne, IN

Schedule:?Full Time |?36-40 Hours Per Week | 1st Shift | Monday Through Friday?

Compensation:?$21-26/hr, Dependent?On?Experience | Higher Wages Available For Candidates With VTS Credentials

In? your day-to-day, you will:

Work closely with Board-Certified Oncologists to manage complex cases and administer life-saving treatments

Understand the safety protocols for safe administration of chemotherapy.

Set up chemotherapy procedures, and perform chemotherapy administration.

Assist in facilitation of imaging and sedation for minor medical procedures.

Retrieve and prepare medical records in advance of patient visits.?

Acquire complete medical history and assist with treatment recommendations provided by Oncologist.

Perform all @types of venipuncture for all @types of blood work and carry out treatment orders to patients.?

Complete estimates, basic record keeping, and update patient charges

Other duties as needed

What You Bring:

Veterinary Technician License (LVT, CVT, or RVT) is required

Foundational veterinary knowledge, including patient restraint, triage, imaging, laboratory skills, and venipuncture.?

Strong communication?and teamwork skills.?

Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.?

Provide excellent customer service and interact with clients in a manner that supports?NIVES?mission to?provide the highest quality veterinary specialty and emergency medicine for small animals.

Work with fellow team members to?maintain?a productive,?positive?and respectful environment. All technical staff, regardless of the level of experience, must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (12 hours), and lift a minimum of?twenty five?pounds.?

Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are?required?for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.?
