What you'll do...
Inventory Management
Maintains and manages medication inventory by receiving, sorting, storing, restocking, and replenishing pharmaceuticals in designated locations. Ensures proper stock rotation using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to minimize shrinkage and product expiration. Performs inventory cycle counts, assists with physical inventories, monitors stock levels, reports low inventory, and utilizes inventory management systems to create reports and track expired or recalled pharmaceuticals.
Reporting and Documentation
Supports pharmacy operations by maintaining accurate records, completing required documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. Enters and updates pharmaceutical information in inventory systems, processes and submits required paperwork, maintains files, manuals, forms, and records, prepares operational and inventory reports, and identifies discrepancies or process inefficiencies. Communicates findings to leadership and assists with state board-mandated testing and documentation requirements.
Prescription Fulfillment
Supports the pharmacist in the accurate and timely fulfillment of prescriptions within an automated Central Fill Pharmacy. Uses barcode scanners and automated systems to identify medications, verify product strength and quantity, enter expiration dates and lot numbers, label prescriptions, weigh medications for accuracy, count or pour medications, package prescriptions, replenish automated counting machines, and maintain a continuous workflow to achieve daily production and quality goals.
Inventory Control and Quality Assurance
Maintains the quality, accuracy, and integrity of pharmaceutical inventory by utilizing automated inventory systems and scanners to monitor inventory movement and ensure timely replenishment. Follows inventory control procedures, audits product information, tests automated pill cell performance, manages pill cell databases, processes recalled and expired medications, properly disposes of hazardous waste, and coordinates the return of outdated inventory for credit.
Pharmacy Systems and Equipment
Maintains pharmacy technology and automated equipment by monitoring inventory systems, automated medication counting machines, and related technology. Calibrates equipment, applies appropriate settings to minimize medication breakage, monitors expiration dates, ensures continuous replenishment of automated dispensing systems, prepares required reports, and troubleshoots equipment issues, including pill cell jams and production interruptions.
Pharmacy Operations
Promotes and maintains the pharmacy's professional standards by assisting pharmacists in delivering products and services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Walmart policies and procedures. Stocks and rotates merchandise, processes claims and returns, maintains required documentation, and contributes to a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing company initiatives, following the Open Door Policy, maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and consistently demonstrating ethical decision-making in all business practices.

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.50 - $33.50The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
