We are looking for a driven, experienced outside salesperson to join our tight-knit team. If you thrive on building lasting relationships, know your way around a blueprints/take-off sheet, and want a stable career with a reputable local business, we want to talk to you. Key Responsibilities As a core member of our sales team, you will act as a trusted advisor to contractors and retail customers. Partner with Pros: Meet with contractors and homeowners to take sales orders, answer project questions, and proactively grow our contractor customer base. Bring Plans to Life: Review drawings, perform take-offs, and calculate accurate estimates for full house packages, decks, garages, windows, and doors. Manage the Process: Generate precise quotes, sales orders, and purchase orders seamlessly using our POS system. Be the Expert: Stay up to date on our full range of building materialsespecially window and door productsto identify the best solutions for our customers. Collaborate: Work closely with the rest of the sales and yard team to ensure orders are accurate and customer service issues are resolved promptly. Answer customers\' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms. Recommend products to customers, based on customers\' needs and interests. Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates. Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support. Prepare sales contracts and order forms. Provide customers with product samples and catalogs. Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports. Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders. Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences. Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: What We\'re Looking For Industry Experience: Previous experience in building materials sales is preferred. You should feel comfortable talking with seasoned builders. Product Knowledge: Strong familiarity with window and door product lines is highly preferred. Technical Savvy: Ability to read blueprints, perform take-offs, and generate accurate material estimates. Customer-First Mindset: Outstanding communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent service. Ownership: An ambitious self-starter who can make sound decisions with minimal oversight and loves seeing a project through to completion.
